Question:

Why does my car buck and jump and click when rounding a corner?

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. Its a standard. When i round a corner, my car starts to shake and buck and it feels almost as if i am running over a rock. The car won‘t buck when i have the car in neutral. It only starts shaking when i try to accelerate around a corner. We had a friend look at it and he had never heard of any car doing it. We lifted the car up and checked the CV joints but they were not broken. We had the transmission replaced about 6 months ago so i‘m kinda thinking the guy that put the transmission in might have might have messed something up. If someone could give me a baseline idea of what it is i would appreciate it. Thanks

Answer:

on most all fwd cars there is a bearing that the axel sits in coming out of the transmission, check for excessive freeplay at the axel. Also have some one turn the car back and forth while the wheels are lifted and watch the steering knuckle to see if moves before the wheel does. That might indicate that is bad. Also check excessive noise when spinning the tire, it might be a hub bearing too. I don't think its anything Internal to the transmission.
because the car is going to slow for the gear that it's in. you need to shift to second gear when rounding a corner. then re-shift to high afterward. you say it's a standard. that means you have to shift gears always at the proper times. the same thing will happen if you don't put the clutch in when coming to a stop.
