Question:

Why does my cat keep going on my rug?

Well I have a four year old cat and all of the sudden he just started peeing on this one rug. I've cleaned it but he continues! What do I do?

Answer:

Just try cleaning the rug again in the washer and then vacuum it when it's dried. Clean up the floor around and beneath the rug. Clean up your cat in the tub with soap. If this doesn't help take your cat to the vet and ask if something is wrong. Also, if you're cats' not neutered, get that done!
This is usually an indication of a urinary infection. A vet can prescribe an antibiotic to clear it up.
Your cat may have a UTI, you need to take your cat into see a vet so they can get a urine sample. If left untreated it can harm your cat or kill it.
Is he fixed? If he isn't fixed he may be marking his territory and you should get him fixed right away. Otherwise you should make sure his litterbox is clean. When I was little our cats' litterbox was neglected and he started peeing in the house instead. Cats love clean places and so they don't like a dirty bathroom.
Your cat is marking his territory. Lol
