Question:

Why does my cat suck on his own stomach?

when my cat was a kitten and left his mother he started sucking on one of the corners in his fluffy basket but when he grew out of his basket he started the habit of sucking on his own stomach? What Does That Mean?

Answer:

It's a vacuum canisterIt has value im sure as it looks brand new with the bracket mount and all.
Usually that means that he was weaned too soonSince he left his mama before his nursing instincts left he got stuck in that modeIt usually doesn't hurt a cat to have this little quirkCats can want to suck on all kinds of thingsI've known cats that suck blankets, stuffed animals, or other catsMy cat as a kitten was obsessed with trying to suck on human eyes! I eventually got her to move away from eyes to ears, then to my fingerShe's 5 now and does it very rarelyIt seems to fade somewhat over time but most cats with this behavior always have it to some extentYour cat is okHe'll just be a little kittenish his whole lifeIf sucking his own stomach causes him problems, see if you can give him some alternatives that don't have a lot of fibers that could get stuck in his stomach.
