Question:

Why does our sink have 6 holes for faucets?

We found an older (maybe 10-15 years) cast iron sink that is 48 inches long with two large basins and a small one in a junk trailer. It has 6 faucet holes drilled like this 0 0 0 on the back and we were wondering what all the holes 0 0 0 were for.

Answer:

you can always buy a chrome plug ..... faucett ....sprayer.... soap dispencer...... instant hot or filtered water
sounds like Jen has it going on
Hot and cold water; the middle one for the place where the water comes out the 4th for instant hot water for coffee or tea ; 5 soap dispenser and 6th for ?? maybe hand lotion?? Or maybe they just drilled the holes in the wrong place to begin with and had to change the placement for the faucets
All I can think of is 3 for the faucet and hot and cold taps, one for a sprayer maybe, another for a soap dispenser maybe and the last one for filtered water. That's my guess anyway.
