Question:

why does the government keep supporting free loaders?

I see places like Detroit or Chicago with all the ghetto violence and I think to myself quot;I know half these people don't work so how the heck do they keep multiplying?quot;. If the government didn't give lazy good for nothings money, this little gang problem in the hood would sort itself out. Stop giving them money or only give them enough to support one or two kids and they will either do what you say and get their act together or they won't listen and they will starve to death and become homeless. Either way will solve the problem but as long as you keep giving them free money the problem will get worse. Also, if they don't work they can at least do some community service for their welfare money

Answer:

I feel the same way. Sadly not all people see that it isn't a good thing to be lazy asses and to sit at home all day collecting wellfare. Most people who believe in that are the ones who are actually doing it. Oh and the reason why im being flagged down so much is because im the only republican on here. I bet you 1000 dollars that all of you that disliked that are close minded liberals.
Our government supports free loaders as you call them because we are a nation of humanitarians. Humans are by nature sexual being so regardless of their economic situation, children are conceived. The single most effective answer to poverty is education so we need incentives for parents to assist in their children's education. We need law enforcement presence in low income housing projects to help prevent the expansion of gangs and drug use. Women need access to affordable birth control - yet the costs of products are higher in low-income areas because the store owners know their customers don't have the means of transportation to shop elsewhere not to mention their lack of access to medical providers where they could obtain various methods of birth control that require a doctor's prescription or even a medical procedure - like vaginal rings or IUDs. I'm not sure how you expect your idea of community service would work since part of the reason people are on government assistance is lack of transportation and no affordable childcare. So, if I don't have the money to get to a job or afford to put my children in childcare, how am I going to manage to provide community service? Why not try being part of the solution by volunteering in your community? Edit: ddd don't post a question that is just an excuse to express your own opinion. In fact, your question is in violation of the Yahoo Answers Community Rules so I hope you don't use your Yahoo ID - but hey I'm sure you can find someone to listen to your ignorant ideas just continue to do in the most cowardly possible - anonymously on the Internet with your profile blocked!
all them free loaders need to get a job and work for a living . we should get rid of free trade agreements and bring home millions of jobs , then pay a living wage . then those free loaders would have NO excuse not to work !
How many people do you know that have done a degree in Liposuction through the ages or indeed media studies? Personally most of the people I know who have done degrees have done it in law, medicine business, sociology or something similar. One has a degree in sports science and help athletes some of which will compete in the olympics. Another has a degree it in engineering and works in domestic building projects. Most of the people I know did get free university education or one that was part funded by society, most of all of us have said it would be difficult to justify ?40,000 debt to get our degrees and more importantly without exception all of us have said we cannot justify encouraging our children to take on this debt. Now most of us are what you would call middle class, and many of us will set up college funds for our younger children and save to take the burden from our children. But those with 15, 16, 17 year old child do not have the time to save enough to do that and are having very difficult conversations with their children about the different alternatives. So please do not lecture us that we should support a government that wants to take away opportunities for our children. Nobody is suggesting a return to free education, that is not possible, desirable or affordable, but if society wants to benefit from graduates then society needs to assist in funding their education. Reducing the amount of university places which this system will do is close universities, reduce places which in return will reserve places for those children who get the highest grades at A level, most of which will come from the elite private education facilities reserving university education to those with parents able and willing to fund private education for their children. In the meantime as a society we will see reduced numbers of indigenous doctors, teachers, scientists, solicitors, engineers and wealth creators of the future.
Its all about votes. Keep a populace uneducated and dependent on a side of the government and you have voters for life. But educate those people and promote self reliance, self respect, and personal responsability and those people start thinking for themselves realizing that that same welfare side has no interest in helping them. But like another said. The honest way to deal with poverty and gang violence is let them kill themselves and starve to death. You put their fate in their own hands, some might die because of it but by their own hands. Many will eventually rise out of it through adapting and altering themselves to fit the rest of societies needs. You have to give them the choice of life and death and the way to either is their own hands. Its the natural order, adapt or die.
