hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe - we could never run out - it's what powers our sun, ergo, the entire solar system - the byproduct, I am told, is water - it seems to make much more sense than hybrid or electric - what is the problem?
Come up with hydrogen fuel-cell solutions these days.
The fuel cells are expensive, and so is the infrastructure to make hydrogen available where it's needed. Our sun produces energy by fusion, and so far a sustainable fusion reactor has not been built on earth. Other than fusion, hydrogen is a means to store energy, not a source of energy.
