A Mechanic checked out my jeep and said everything is fine. But every time I drive over a speed bump and steep driveway it makes this terrible clinking noise by the front right wheel. I'm not sure what's wrong. I believe he checked the shocks. Important thing: it only happens when its cold outside. In the summer its not much of a problem, but during winter it drives me insane.
you said the rubberband is not broken, i say not yet , get ready to replace it , sorry
The fact that you are safe in a car when lightning strikes, because of the isolating property of the rubber tyres is an urban legend; you are safer in a car because of the faraday's cage effect of the car's metal body. The flow of electricity will happen outside the car, not inside. The best way to avoid death by lightning strike in to be within such a cage. Where does lightning strikes most often? There where it is recorded to do it; often on hill tops, etc. As a reference, when at sea, a earthed sailboat mast will attract the lighting of any one that is to strike within a radius of one and half the length of the mast. If un-earthed (isolated from the keel, etc) the radius is then only the same as the mast length.
Fly into a violent thunderstorm and jump out of the plane covered in tin foil.
