Quartz can come in any color. Green and blue are rare. Amethyst is actually a type of quartz. Onyx, agate and Tiger's eye are opaque varieties of quartz. Citrine is quartz,and carnelian is quartz. The green quartz is called prasiolite and it's kind of a pale mint green. Do you have a pic? OK That's apophyllite. It is a quartz crystal.
