Why should sodium bentonite be used in casting?
Na bentonite contains more sodium ions, and calcium bentonite contains more calcium ions.
Sodium is a monovalent ion, and calcium is the two valence ion. Similarly, the weight of bentonite, sodium bentonite contains more ions, so it can absorb more water molecules, molding sand strength is higher, sand resistance ability is stronger.
