i am using a wooden pickaxe but i dont findanything in the area
well you simply need a better picaxe a wooden pic can only mine stone and coal it will simply break other ores like iron and you will not recieve a block from it
You need to acquire a stone pickaxe in order to mine iron ore, cheers.
Make sure you're playig survival and use a stone or better pickaxe. (stone, iron, diamond)
