My drive writes fine on Verbatim brand discs but it refuses to write the same files on Memorex or HP brands. Please help.

if the smoke detector is mains operated i would change it for a detector with lithium battery back up which should last for ten years so no need to replace the battery every year but make sure you test it each week look on AICO web site for model numbers
