Put something that smells like you in his bed or a clock if he is a puppy. Remember puppies are born in litters they are not used to being alone when they sleep. You could also put the bed close to yours and give treats when he stays in his bed without crying.
Why does he have to sleep in a bed? If he does not like the bed then why not just let him sleep somewhere else? Many dogs are happier on the floor, couch or wherever.
