I'd advise inserting a feeder with shelled peanuts somewhere near the entrancesAfter a few week or two (whilst you know they may be popping out to them) hooked up some traps with the peanutsSadly you will not get any aid from the S.PercentA or humane societies since Squirrels are regarded verminAs adorable as they is also, they do lift ailments, and in all honesty are fuzzy tailed ratsExcellent for you for being humane, and exceptional of success! DON'T use rat poison as someone posted.The LAST thing you need is dead squirrel smell in the attic ! ! Use strong scents like ammonia,vinagar or even chili powder to get rid of them.
First you need to find the hole where they get in.make a small ONE WAY door out of heavy gauge screen or something like chicken wire that covers the hole.they will push thru it to get out but cant get back in.this is the same thing people do who have a opossum under their house.I gives them a way out but not back in.
Block up their holes with broken glass.
I have been building enclosures for about 16 years now and have always used polyfillAlso make sure you are using good wood for your enclosureI would recommend no less than .5 inch MDFI would use .75 inch MDF if you can.
