Yes, of course, anything goes with white but white walls are so boring and stark. Why not paint it? You have lots of choices depending on the mood you want to create. For a warm feeling, try a shade of cinnamon or caramel or gold. For a cooler, more sophisticated look some shades of blue or aqua look great with green. Just be sure to pick up whatever color you choose in other accents around the room. Sometimes starting with a decorative pillow that looks great on your couch is the easiest way. Then choose a color from it to paint your walls with. If you do decide to keep the walls white, I would be sure to add black accents for some richness.

I've always been told that you can't go wrong on anything with white. Go for it,I think it will be fine!
It depends on the other colors in the room. If you have a lot of other green furniture in the room, and the sofa is a similar shade of green, then yes I think it will go. But I would not reccomend it if you have a lot of other color furniture or if your walls are an off/tinted white.
White walls will go with a green sofa and make the room look brighter but it will also make it look kind of simple if that is what you are looking for.
