Question:

Will a warrior dolomite replacement blade fit in a regular dolomite one piece cut off shaft?

I broke the one piece and was gonna cut off the blade and put in a replacement but because the blade is tapered I was wondering if it would fit. please help

Answer:

Not really. If you're planning on flipping the shaft over and inserting a blade in the handle side, you need a standard blade like an AK27 or an Easton Focus Flex. If you're planning to cut the tip of the broken shaft above the bond line, you'll have too much wiggle in the fit with a tapered blade. Remember, a Dolomite one-piece is a Dolomite shaft and Dolomite blade fused with a permanent epoxy bond, so the 'proper' fit cannot be achieved if you cut a tapered shaft above the blade insert. You can either fill in the slack by applying strips of tape over the blade hosel before inserting or you can cut higher until a standard blade fits the shaft opening. In the case of the latter option, you may have to add an end plug on the handle side to offset the stick length lost in cutting.
Honestly, that could work. Warrior makes great sticks. I'm not sure if there will be one at your shop, but you could also look for the Warrior AK-27 or AK-47. They are designed after Alexei Kovalev and are very good. A nike bauer blade will work just fine but the Easton Hockey sticks and blade's tend to be more durable. Good Luck! : )
