Question:

will getting a catback exhaust system for my fiat increase hp?

i have a 2007 fiat bravo 1.4

Answer:

Combine with a free-flow air filter such as a KN with a cold-air feed, and get a re-chip, and you could see around a 10% power increase. Never gonna rip ya face off though.
You may get a couple of HP if you are lucky as the CAT is the restrictive part of the exhaust. You could get a free flow CAT but not worth it on a Fiat Bravo 1.4 as it is never going to be a fast car.
Not enough to notice. It will probably sound cool though. If you want more power, then you need to increase the amount of air the engine compresses, increase the compression, and increase the flow. Of course, the more air you put into the engine will cause you to need an increase in the proper amount of fuel to ignite the air so your gas mileage would drop with increased HP. But I think I know what you are trying to do you want the car to have a bit more power and sound cool doing it. in addition to the cat back system, you will want to get headers and larger exhaust to the cat back system. That will help scavenge the exhaust out of the engine and allow for better performance. If you have lots of money, Id say do it. if you dont have a lot of money I would just leave it stock. You wont notice a large increase in HP. Same goes for the K N air filter and cold air intakes.
