I wish to rivet sheets of Tin over the windows in my old Leyland bus.will this cause any ill effect/harm? Thanks
There are several issues hereOne is that both aluminum and galvanized steel (which is what I think you mean by 'tin sheets') will corrodeAluminum corrosion is usually not a problem because it is self-limiting (the corrosion seals the surface of the aluminum and prevents further corrosion), but corrosion of galvanized steel is not and can eventually cause the sheets to completed disappearFortunately, this usually takes some timeYou didn't say how long you are expecting these 'patches' to lastThe other issue is galvanic corrosion at the point where the aluminum and galvanized steel come togetherAny time dissimilar metals are joined, there is a migration of electrons from one metal to the other that can cause corrosion of the jointI would not expect this to be any more severe than the corrosion that will take place where the bare steel is exposed (the rivet holes)Bottom line - I think there will be corrosion, but that the most likely effect is that the galvanized steel patches are more likely to suffer from destructive corrosion than the aluminum skin of the vehicle.
wool, i think you have to card it first then spin ityou don't need a big spinning wheel, there is a smaller hand thing you can use to spin the wool into yarnyou can probalby buy it all onlineweavers do this.
