will using clear silicone against copper water pipe do any harm to the copper pipe?
No. The worst that can happen is the acetic acid ( the vinegar smell ) may discolor the copper. No harm.
None what so ever, I use it to insulate copper wire in swimming pool systems
It will not harm the copper pipe at all.
