Question:

Windows will not boot from GRUB loader?

I have recently installed ubuntu onto an extended partition, and now i cannot get windows to boot whatsoever. Windows appears in the GRUB loader, but upon selecting it, the computer restarts all over again without even loading windows. There has to be some kind of simple solution to this!I really do not want to reformat and reinstall.GParted says that my C:#92; drive, (where windows is) is the boot drive.I have already tried to do a system repair and system restore using the windows disc, but those did not work. Somebody please help.

abode windows bootloaders do in contrast to Linux, so choosing certainly one of them will finally end up denying you get entry to on your Linux partition (they do no longer recognize Linux filesystems and for that reason forget approximately approximately them). I had no issues using GRUB to twin-boot XP professional and Fedora some years in the past.
