I have an old house that has wool insulation in the atticI am going to replace the floor as part of making a new roomWhile the floor is removed, would I be better to replace the wool insulation with fiberglass? There is no quot;Rquot; value listed on the wool insulationI still will need insulation because the room will only be a part-time use room (when daughter is home from college) and closed off most of the timeAlso, a friend brought up the possibility of this old type of insulation being a possible fire hazardThe installation of the stuff was so rare in my area that no one seems to know what to do with itMost can't believe that anyone went to that much trouble before the late 60's or early 70'sThanks in advance for any help.
