Can you make your wireless controller a wired controller by just using the charger cord without the battery pack? Do you recommend it?

yes you can, just tried it out for you,,, took out battery pack, leaving it empty, then connected cable, to the charge slot, and it works, but there is no red light on the cord, meaning its not charging, because there is nothing to charge,,, but why would you want to do this, when you can just charge the battery pack?
Don't think so it runs through the battery first
Yes, you can use the cord to hook the controller straight to the console, no battery necessary. However if you have both the rechargable battery AND the cord hooked up, it'll charge the battery while you're playing.
