Question:

can any one suggest a topic for paper presentation?

in field of mechanical, automobiles .

Answer:

Newer bikes offten have better brakes and many even have ABS, so you could consider them safer because of that.
Brakes, suspension, frames have hugely improved, many older bikes will not take modern tyres (due to wheel dimensions). But as long as you recognise the limits of your bike and do not try to stay on the wheels of the latest hot poop sportsbike, you will not be on the edge and should be able to be as safe as you are on a modern bike, just a few mph slower.
It could be said that newer bikes have better brakes which makes them safer.
Although I am more into electronics engineering, I am very much into crossovers of one technology into another. My suggestion, especially in the area of automotive engineering, would be a paper about the closely coupled areas of electronic control systems as integrated with mechanical designs. For instance, things like electronically controlled suspension systems, anti-lock braking systems, and anti-rollover systems for SUV's. Heck, even the design of a automatic door locking system entails fairly complex mechanical and electrical designs. These types of designs entail close working between the mechanical as well as electronic engineers, and an understanding to some degree of both areas of expertise by each. Point out the importance of each, you can have a great control program sitting on micro-controller, but without a new mechanical device designed to implement the physical aspects, it would be worthless. The other side of the coin is that some great ideas for a mechanical device would go unused, without the means to monitor and control its workings in some automated way. The combination of the two makes for functionality and safety designs, as well as fuel efficiency designs that were not possible to implement not so long ago. Think alot about sensors and closed loop, intelligent feedback sytems and their relation to mechanical systems. Hope this might provide, if not a specific topic or title, at least some inspiration for thought. Good luck!
