Question:

ceramic vs metal flat irons?

What is the big difference between ceramic plates and metal plates?I bought an flat Iron 2 years ago from Wal Mart for 10 dollars and it was metal. it takes 10 minutes to heat up and I can never get it the way I wanted, Today I bought a mini ISO flat iron from the mall and they said it was ceramic and it did heat up in 3 secounds. Besides that, are there any other differences?

Answer:

The alignment can be right with the steering wheel off center,as you suggested. The only way to know with certainty is to pay the money for an alignment.Personally I would keep an eye out for tire wear and not do anything for now.
type into search box how to read tire wear and pretty much anytime steering wheel is cock its mis-align only reason steering wheel would be off center how to check wheel alignment not many cars on the roads are in alignment most cars should be check once a year if you only drive on great roads if you live out of city might want o have it check more offen car should pull sight to right since most road ways lean to right to drain water from roadway shouldnt feel it jump or steer off real fast but stil should start to run off the road to right hundred feet or so shouldnt never feel it turn left at all shouldnt have to hold one way while driving hands should move left and right to stay in road but if you have to hold to one way any its out just best you have it check once a year and learn to read your tire wear
it still can be in line and the steering wheel off some. they should have straightened the wheel up before aligning it. if you want your steering wheel straight then they will have to loosen the tie rods, straighten the steering wheel and then reset the toe end again. but it,s aligned if you can live with a crooked wheel.
Metal plates chip and lose their coating after a while. When that happens, it will snag, snap and tear ur hair out. Ceramic plates don't chip, heat faster and overall last longer. *remember to use a thermal spray to protect the ends of ur hair from heat damage*
Ceramic irons are safer and won't damage your hair (the good ones at least). It's always good to invest in a good ceramic straightener coz it's worth it and will help keep your hair healthier, shinier, silkier, etc. When I used metal irons, my natural waves came out by the end of the day. When I bought my ceramic one, my hair stayed straight throughout the whole day. I hope this helped! :) ***EDIT: I also use a serum to keep my hair straighter and softer and help keep the frizz away. I use Professional SilkWorks (not from Biosilk). It's a clear bottle with black writing and black cap. I get it at Walmart for about $10. :)
