Question:

how do i open the power valves?

i have a 1991 rm125 and i want to open the power valves myself can anyone tell me how to do thisTHANKS!

Answer:

remove the carb abd intake manifold, they are inbetween the intake and reed cage. you will have to rejet .
dude leave the power valves alone. you do not know what you are doing.
They open different amounts at different RPM ranges. Opening them all the way would cause the engine to have zero power until the engine is reving wide open.
Power valves are not in the intake area, but are in the exhaust side of the cylinder. Power valves open the exhaust port at high rpm and reduce the port size and usually lower the top of the port at low rpms. The Suzuki power valves are somewhat complicated so I would recommend a factory manual and a good parts break down before attempting to disassemble or service. Also a RM125 will run very poorly if the power valves are not functioning as designed.
