Question:

How do you tighten a motorcycles brake lever?

I have a 2005 GSXR 600 and the brake lever is really loose, meaning that it‘s really easy to pull in and there isn‘t much resistance; only recently has this happened. How would you go about fixing this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Answer:

Bleed the front brake lines and also check for wear in the brake pads. replace the pads if they are worn. and finally top up the brake oil in the reservoir. this should get you back the proper feel of the brakes.
FIRST, check the entire Front system for leaks, fix the leaks and test for pressure, Bleed the brake line. The Stock rubberized lines are subject to expansion, check thm, if theyappear uneven or bloated, replace them with braided Stainles steel lines.
There's a dial on the lever. Usually 1 - 4 Push the lever forward and turn the dial.
