Question:

How un-safe is it to drive when my front driver side tire is being held on by 3 lug nuts instead of 4?

I am going ot get this fixed as soon as i can (probably next paycheck), but for right now, it is only being held on by 3 lug nuts. Will this be ok to drive for a week or two?

Answer:

The first thing you'll want is a U-Lock, which goes through your front wheel, the frame and the bike rack. It is made out of a U-shaped piece of rubber-coated steel and a lock-on segment that makes it into more of a D-shape. Kryptonite makes some good ones. If you have a nice saddle, a saddle leash might be a good idea; it is left on all the time and is pretty light. If you are really concerned, get a second lock (a cable this time) and run it through the rack and the back wheel, and even the seat if you wish. Use it as a second measure to keep your components. Even with an amazing lock system, the most important thing is that you keep it inside at night! Anyone who has his eye out for stealing components will be prowling at night. Find a good place to lean your bike up against a wall near your door, and never leave your bike somewhere overnight.
my first car was a stick and i guess i never really gave this much thought..what i would do is slow down to the point that you could still make it over the speed bump and kick it straight into neutral with your foot hovering over the brake in case you have to adjust and your foot off the clutch when you are over it enough that you feel like you can comfortably drive off step in the clutch and put it into 2nd gear.this porblem also may be that you are letting off the clutch to fast or not giving it enough gas in the process..but practice makes perfect and you will be making it over those speed bumps in no time
It could be that the dream was caused by your body being overheated by blankets or somesuch, or it might be that the dream is simply lingering in your mind; if it's the latter, then try getting out of bed and do something calming, drink warm milk, hot tea, or decaffeinated soda, whatever drink like this is your favorite to calm down, then try to go back to sleep again.
