Answer:

In the States that have AT WILL employment laws you can be fired anytime with or without a reason. Since the Employer does not have to give a reason for your termination it would be virtually impossible to prove that you were fired just because the bosses boyfriend asked you out and you said no and they retaliated against you. Can you provide verifiable evidence for your claims? Can you prove with evidence what her motives where for firing you? Can you prove with evidence that you were set up? Sorry to say the only thing you have is your word against hers. Instead of getting mad like a spoiled brat and calling people retards for their answers why dont you file for unemployment and then file a complaint with the department of labor in your state, if you can provide them with enough verifiable evidence showing that the boss violated your rights and the labor laws of the state then they will persue the matter. or Get free consultation with an attorney experienced in wrongful termination there are dozens in the yellow pages.
How do you accidentally set off a fire alarm? It makes no sense. Sorry i can't tell you the procedures or discipline for your school, but i would venture to say it's a criminal offense because it is any where else. No different than calling 911 without an emergency!
All US States except Montana are Employment at will, which means you can be fired for any reason at all, or for any reason not forbidden by law. (Race or gender discrimination, discrimination against an over-40 employee, etc.) Firing someone because you don't like them - or even because you think your boyfriend 'does' like them - is perfectly legal. Sorry if that isn't the answer you were hoping for, but it is what the law says. Richard
