Question:

Insulation , Radiation & Convection?

What are some examples used in houses to prevent heat loss and entry - basically insulation. How have people , in their houses , overcome the effects of radiation?Where would convection currents operate in houses Also , how does this affect heating?Could someone please define all three of these terms as well?THANKYOU SO MUCH !,katiee xx

Answer:

I have a chi and I LOVE it! It really keeps my hair shiny and strongAnother great thing about the chi is that you can also use it to curl your hairI also use Tresemme Heat Tamer sprayI put it on after I wash my hair and before I straighten itIt works really well and is also very affordable.
Most companies that make hair products will make a heat protection serumFor the serum, you spray it on your hair before you straighten itUsually with any heat serum you buy, you can use it with any heating applianceI use Beyond the Zone Turn Up the Heat serumIt works really goodIt also leaves your hair feeling so silky Here's a link of this product.
Use your heat spray before blow drying, then section off hair and mist each section with any regular hold hairspray as you go, just before running the straightener throughThe hairspray acts as a protectant and also gives your style great stabilityChi oil also helps if you wash dailyIt can make for a slightly oily second day 'do, however.
the heat protection spray is good and of course trying not to straighten your hair EVERY day which i know can be hard sometimes!! I recommend ghd over a chiI've had both and not only do I think the ghd has left my hair in great shape, but so far it's lasted me longer than either of the 2 chis i had before
Homes have insulation in the attic to prevent heat lossMany windows are double pane, the space between the panes is insulationDrapes are closed to prevent sunshine from coming inRadiation? solar radiation is goodWhite roofing reflects itPassive solar heating allows the sun to warm the house Convection currents send the warm air around the house for heating.Warm air or water risesWater heating systems function on convection[warm fluids rising, cool fluids sinking] insulation is a material that slows the movement of heat energy radiation is the movement of heat or light or other electromagnetic energy by waves convection is the movement of heat energy by moving fluids[gases or liquids]
