Question:

IPods in aluminum foil?

DO NOT ANSWER IF YOURE ARE GOING TO TELL ME NOT TO DO IT!!! I want to bring my iPod to school, how does iPods show up in metal detectorsWould it look like sandwhich if the foil was layered or would you be able to see the shape? What is a valid reason for having your things? Isn't it the reason that it's yoursThis may not seem like that big a deal to adults but I have the right to have my things and if it gets stolen that is my and my families problemNOT THE SCHOOLS!!

Answer:

Ridge vents aren't your problemAll they do is allow ventilation into the attic to prevent moisture buildup You have an insulation gap somewhereIt is allowing heat to flow right through the wallsThere is a test where professionals come in and use a special camera to look at the hot and cold spots in the walls and ceiling of the house for evaluating how effective the insulation isI don't know its name, but that is what you need to have done Good luck.

Uh, you clearly don't understand how a metal detector worksIt is not an X-Ray machine or any other kind of imaging device, it is a magnetometerIt senses metal objects by the effects they have on magnetic fields generated within the systemWrapping it in foil will have zero effect on the magnetic fieldsIf this would work, don't you think that anyone trying to get a weapon past a security checkpoint would know about it by now? Leave the IPod home, if that is the rule at your schoolI suspect it have more to do with you paying attention in school than anything elseHard to concentrate on class if your mind is on some crp song on your player.
