Question:

IS A V2 AEM INTAKE A GOOD CHOICE FOR A INTAKE THEN THE COLD AIR INTAKE ?

AND Y IS IT BETTER, IF NOT PLEASE EXPLAINE?

Answer:

The AEM V2 is a great choice for a ram air intake system. The 1st answer who said to get a cold air because his short ram messed his engine up is confused. I cold air intake has longer piping, usually placed lower to the ground by the front bumper, and this is the setup that is most likely to suck up water into the engine and ruin it. The short ram intake sets ontop of the engine bay and is a safer bet for people who drive in areas with lots of rain/snow/puddles. There are minor pro's and con's to each setup, but basically the cold air intake's pro is that it gets cooler air into the engine, but it's con is it is more exposed to the elements. (there are certain ways to help prevent water in your engine with a CAI as well). The short ram's pro is that it is much safer, but it's main drawback is because of it's position, the air temp is usually higher than a CAI. Some people will say a ram air intake has better mid-low rpm power, while a cold air has better top end power. Neither choice will give you a drastic increase in performance, but it wont hurt anything. I suggest teh AEM V2 because it is a great product.
go for the cold air intake because i had a V2 and went into a puddle and my engine went bye bye
