Question:

is pine bedding REALLY safe for parrots?

i bought some pine bedding and normally its the stuff used for hamsters and rabbits but, it says on the back that it is safe for birds. me being as picky as i am cause i consider my birds my children, i don't necessarily trust them. i have heard mixed things about pine bedding stuff like it can cause respiratory problems. it's all natural pine bedding and has not been treated with anything.

Answer:

It okorder /
Parrots Do Not need bedding, this is a fad that some people believe they need even a bed.the stuff you have bought is mainly for nesting Finches and a few birds that use beddingfor nesting material, Parrots roost on perches not in beds, Parrot breeder for over 50 years.
idk but if you do use it than i would let it airrate for a half hour before i put the bird in the cage so the bird wont have to breath the pine oils.
