Question:

is there a need for an alignment after replacing wheel bearings?

i have a 94 vigor and im going to replace the front rotors/pads soon. it has rotors pressed on the hub (common on early 90s hondas) so when changing the rotors, new wheel bearings have to be put also because when pressed out, the old bearings will be junk. so i will have to remove the steering knuckle and take it to a machine shop so the can press the new bearing in.

Answer:

you probably would,nt need it but it would,nt hurt to have it done.
I have been in the automotive industry for 35 years, and I have found that any time suspension repair is done you should always have alignment checked.Even rear alignment can change with time and wear and tear on springs and struts. Its best to spend a little bit of money for assurance than alot for tires.
If the wheel bearings are pressed in the spindles with care there's no need to have your car re-aligned. If the lower ball joints are in good shape you can't go wrong. As you know the ball joint has a taper on the end which is tightened into the spindles so nothing changes there. An alignment shop may try convincing you otherwise, particularly with a front wheel drive car. It's not the front end that changes with the miles as much as the rear wheels as there are more adjustments back there. If you have a rear wheel drive car only an accident on the back may change the third member's alignment.
