I had one of those before and-for a bit-during braces. Here are some things you should know: -It will be hard to eat when she first gets them, the food will go on top of the expander-it get's annoying. It will get better after some time however, her tongue just needs to get used to it. -It will be hard to talk..not hard really but it'll sound weird. The 's' usually is hard to say. It will get better also, the tongue will get used to it too. -When she first gets them, she might feel pressure. It will go away eventually though. -Make sure you turn the key everyday (or when they said to do it and for how long). When you turn it, she might feel some pressure- only for a couple of minutes though. (*you only need to do this if they said anything about the turning, if not then ignore this) Hope that helps! ;D
No, it will be sore for about two to three days, but she will learn to talk and it stops hurting pretty quick.
