Question:

What is the best way to keep dessert fresh?

I am cooking a few different things for a bake saleI will have to make them the night beforeI am making brownies, chocolate bread, and apple breadWhat is the best way to keep them fresh for the day of ? Tin foil, plastic wrap, wax paper, baggies? I am guessing leaving them out is the best since the fridge might dry them outI mean I never worry about keeping them fresh with a big family, the desserts are usually consumed pretty fast! Thanks for your help.

Answer:

for the apple and chocolate breads- wrap the bread first in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil - the plastic wrap will seal in the moisture and the aluminum foil protects against additional unwanted moisture when you store it coldAlso, keeps the plast wrap in place better toodo it shinny side out (for reheating if necessary) for the brownies, the easiest way is to wrap them in plastic wrap or put them in an air tight containerAlso, a disposable aluminum pan may be handy if you are selling the whole pan, but if individually, then wrap in plastic wrap or baggies.
