Question:

What it is the etiquette for tipping loaders at Home depot?

I was just recently there and I had the loader load over 800 lbs of concrete bags...should I have tipped him or not? Someone please let me know...I have no idea what is correct. Thanks!

Answer:

Man, I am glad we dont have tipping in Aust, sounds too bloody complicated.
No tip is required or expected as that is a service of Home Depot. Fill out a comment card expressing appreciation for the loader, by name. Home Depot has prizes for such things.
I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. They don't make a lot of money you know. I don't believe I have ever seen it done though. OOP! Apparently it could hurt.(read some of the other post)
no they are not allowed to accept tips
i worked for home depot - we were not allowed to take tips - period, it could get you fired if you were caught.
