Question:

When does an anti-lock braking system start to work?

When does an anti-lock braking system start to work?

Answer:

When the wheel sensors detect that one of the wheels is not spinning, while the others are.
As soon as you hit the brakes
When apply the brakes real hard (slam on the brakes) you will feel the brakes/peddle pulses-ates.
As soon as the syst sees an iminent wheel lock up. It will activate a solenoid to dump pressure to that wheel. This all takes place in 1/64 of a second. Amazing ay?
