i have a 73 merc 650 with no control box and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction for wiring in a key switch i have a mercontrol throttle and shifter box less wiring i just need to know how to wire it together as i don't have 200-300 bucks to spend on the proper control box so if anyone can find me a website to the proper resources i'd be most appreciative and send them pictures of the fish we caught thanks for looking, helping
Find a used outboard shop and see if they have the controlls you need.
the wiring is pretty simple on that engine. any decent shop should give you a crude diagram. if not, post it again i'll try to take you through it.
