Question:

1979 Lincoln Mark VIII air suspension completely in up position.?

The 1997 MarK VIII was jacked without turning the air suspension system off. It is in the highest position and is a very harsh and solid ride. Is there a procedure to reset the suspension system?

Answer:

You can use a AC to DC converter to get it working. However, the siren will probably require a large amount of power. You need to determine how much wattage it will require to operate efficiently. Then you need to see if you can locate a converter that will supply that wattage. If the siren is underpowered it might not broadcast very well.
i've had similar problems with my lincoln continental.the best thing is to disconnect the battery overnight leave the switch for the suspension on.in the morning just connect it againif that doesn't work then you can lift the car and remove the air by pulling out the air controllersand if you can't do that then it's best not to move it until someone helps you because we had to replace ours because they burst when driving! so i hope this helps and good luck!
Hmm, Have you tried turning off the air suspension off for a while? And why did you not turn off the air suspension while jacking the car up?
If it happened because it was jacked up without turning off system it is suppose to level it self after you take it off the jack. You shouldn't have to do anything to it but if it is not level then disconnect the battery for a few minutes. The go around the car and open and close the doors and the trunk this should make the car level itself. if that doesn't work then something was damaged when you jacked it up without turning off the air system so you will need to have a test ran on the system and possibly taken to a mechanic.
