I was driving this morning my windshield wipers were working just fine then all the sudden they stoped in place i can hear the motor running but nothing is moving why? what can i do to fix it? how much to get it fixed would it cost me?
motor is gone on them go get one at the junk yard for a couple bucks
The shaft out of the wiper motor has splines to engage the wiper, they may be stripped. If you can rotate the wiper by hand easily this is the case requiring motor replacement Happens sometimes in winter where the wiper freezes to the glass. Start the wiper and watch to see if the shaft is actually rotating. You might try another wiper blade assembly if there are enough spines to engage.
