Question:

Windshield wiper wont move?

So yesterday when I headed off to work, my wiperblades on my 98 Hyundai Elantra worked just fine. It‘s been snowing lately and thus they are needed (obviously). But, when I left work, and tried to turn them on, I didn‘t even hear the motor start up to wipe them. Not frozen to the window, checked the arms, they seem fine. And this morning I tried them. Not even a hiccup of movement. Is the motor for it broken or something?

Answer:

First thing to check is the fuse. Look in the owner's manual for location of the fusebox, usually its under the hood or under the dash. Find the wiper/wash fuse and replace it with the same amperage. If the fuse is good, and it still wont move, I would suspect the wiper motor since there is no movement at all, but the ultimate test would be to run 12v power directly to the wiper motor, it should move then.
Pump them up to 75 lbs and ride it. If it fells hard lower it a few pounds and try again. Stay above 50 lbs like it says. The best pressure will depend on your weight.
Did you check the fuse? If not, check it. Even if you're not confident it's good then swap it with another fuse of the same rating. If the wiper still doesn't work then the motor is either shot or the wires have come unplugged. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays. '')
The higher quality 700c tires will have a higher psi on average. I have tires that take well over 100psi.
