I would like to know if its easy to install a cold air intake on my 91 integra ls, i see on my car i have all the little small hoses that go from the fuel injector area to the air intake tube , if i replace that with a cold air intake aluminum tube what should i do with the little hoses, anyone that has done this before please help? thanks
For that you use a breather, i think its called an intake breather, it looks like a small cone filter. It should run you about 10 bucks at auto zone.
you'll want to use the CAI/short ram for the year of the car (not the motor). they're both B series motors meaning the motor dimensions are exactly the same. granted the TB is probably a slightly different size, but it shouldnt matter (or worst case you get a connector that has 2 different sized ends.
lucas makes the best additive for oil and transmission on the market. i have used it on all my vehicles. also sell tons of it to customers at autozone. have heard great feedback on these products.
dont use a breather for it!!. all that will end up happening is you let all the blow by gases out and youll lose power and then instaling the intake would be for nothing The honda crankcase breather is a POSITIVE pressure ventilation system. The air from the intake blows into the valve cover. It is NOT a negative pressure ventilation system.it does NOT suck air from the valvecover to the intake. Breathers remove the source of positive ventilation that repressurizes the POSTIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION (PCV) valve. There is less pressure in the crank when you add a breather at the valve cover. The consequence of this is you get more positive blow-by from the combustion chamber past the piston rings and into the crankcase. More blow-by means less cylinder pressure.less cylinder pressure means the burn is slower and less complete.the result is more emissions and less power
Is your car really old? If not, there are none. You think the car makers wouldn't use it and outsell all the other guys if they really worked? Try changing them at or before the recommended time.
