Question:

1997 Cavalier wont start. Theft System light turns on and wont turn off. How do I fix this?

When I try to start my car, the engine doesn‘t even rev, the car just makes kind of an electrical noise and the Theft System light comes on. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

Answer:

If the wiper motor is running but the wipers not sweeping, then your wiper linkage has either popped off it's connector or has broken. This is the weakest link in a wiper system and is easily fixed. In some cars this is a designed in fail safe to protect the wiper motor/gears when the wipers get stuck or frozen.
Does your car has an after market alarm or auto start? Your ignition cyl switch could be worn out. Also is your battery full charged reading 12.9 volts?.
I would assume that the motor that makes them run is broken and as for how much it cost I have no idea you will just have to take it in Im pretty sure it wouldn't cost too much.
