2005 Volvo s80 T6 Premier I Just got Subwoofers hooked up into my car and they had to undo the battery and what not for the wiring and now my car gives me a message saying SRS Airbag Service Urgent the guys told me it was because they had unplugged the battery and it should go away if I drive about 30miles, I‘ve driven over 100 and it‘s still there and the Volvo Dealer wants 110.00 to fix the light. Is there any other way possible to get this light cleared and since that light is on does that mean if I get into a crash the airbags will not deploy?
air bag repair is a specialty in order to do safely and properly as there is a small explosive devise that employs the air bag. So you will need a trained person to do this. Fixing the light is not the issue, but why it has illuminated in the first place. Maybe the first step is to have the code read and go from there.
