Question:

1997 VW Golf ignition alarm issues?

i recently came into ownership of a '97 VW Golf gl and this is the first problem i've had with it in the two months that i've owned it.earlier today, i opened the door and the car alarm went off. this has never happened before. i called the previous owner, who told me he had never had that issue, but it could be a problem with the electric locks. the trunk lock doesn't work sometimes, so i put the key into the trunk lock and the alarm stopped. now, every time i put the key into the ignition and try to turn it on, the alarm goes off, and doesn't shut off until i put the key back into the trunk lock.how can i fix this issue? and if you need any more info to solve the problem, just ask. thanks in advance :]

Answer:

Kidde (and other) smoke detectors do this when they need to be replaced. The sensors stop working after about 9 years. and they chirp like this to tell you that you need to replace the entire unit not just the battery.
White face paint is available everywhere. Use that, dye all your clothes black, and concentrate real hard on being depressed and full of self-loathing. Good luck with your new lifestyle.
why is your cousin being a psycho and listening to them in the first place? I dont know if they know, but if they do, hopefully they can press charges on him for being a weird stalker
