Question:

2003 Ford Focus problem with battery/electrical?

The other day my car suddenly stalled out when I was waiting to pull into a parking space and it wouldn‘t start again and had to get a jump start. Right before it stalled the abs and brake light came on. Now when I‘m driving and turn on the AC the battery light comes on but when I slow down like to stop at a light the battery light goes off. The battery is only like maybe 8 months old. This happened suddenly and without warning. Please help me! Thanks!!

Take the vehicle to auto zone or Advance Auto and have the charging system checked. You may have a bad alternator or loose belt which in turn is killing your battery. The battery can be bad, it's not impossible to buy a defective battery. You mentioned that the battery light comes on while driving, but goes out while at almost idle.are you sure you said that right? Usually the light would come on while at idle and go off while running at higher rpm's. Your best bet is to have the charging system checked. Have them check the battery separately by removing it from the vehicle and putting it on one of their battery testers.
Battery light stays on but it starts fine and run great
