The left brake light is out when I press the brake however the light comes on when I lock/unlock the doors, is it a malfunction in the wiring?
The reason for this is there is two elements inside you brake light bulbs. one is for the brake and the other is for the running lights when you just turn your lights on. like wilt the Stilt says, change that bulb
The light that comes on is a tale light not a break light just change your break light bulb.
