Question:

2006 Mustang Warning Lights?

Okay, So for the past few days this has been happening. Sometimes when I let off the gas of my 2006 ford mustang coupe, it will jump a little bit. It‘s never done this before. Also, today for the first time a light came on but i have NO idea what it was. I looked in my manual, and everything and it wasn‘t in there at all. I googled it but wasn‘t finding anything. Can someone please help me with this? What do you think it is? or can you send me a link to a website with ALL the warning lights on it? PLEASE!!

Answer:

It is in fact in the owner's manual on p.10-11. Looking in the manual, the light in that area would be the check fuel cap light, which could mean you have a loose or missing gas cap. It could also be a large evaporative emissions leak or some other problem with the EVAP system. If it was the oil light (red light that looks like an oil can), then you need to check your oil ASAP. If the gas cap wasn't loose and you still have problems, you should have the codes read for free at an auto parts store.
