PVC pipe is measured by outside diameter. Inside diameter varies depending on the pressure rating. For instance, class 160 (160 psi rated) will have the same o.d. as class 200, but will have thinner walls, for a different i.d. The string method is probably the best way to determine your pipe size. Wrap the string, make a mark, and then go to the hardware store and find the same size pipe. All fittings will work on that size pipe.

ummm, it could be really bad or it could be nothing, it really depends on the car u drive. you could be scraping the bottom of the engine and transmission which would be very bad, or you could have a skid plate for this exact reason.
first off their is there boots that should help prevent a grounding for the current. Also it would have to be a steady stream of water to carry the current, and depending on the setting on the nozzel the water is actually being broken into alot of little droplets since they will absorb the heat better and cool the fire thus putting it out. Lastly, power should be cut to any building where their is a fire, either the meter is pulled by the firedepartment, or the trip the circutit breaker, if the fire itself hasnt already shorted everythign out.
