For my Nexus 7, I have a physical bluetooth keyboard, but recently for some reason my tablet refuses to bring up its on screen keyboard, even when my bluetooth one is turned off, or if my tablet's bluetooth is off. While it isn't an overly large problem, I prefer using the on screen keyboard at times, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this?
I use a USB keyboard with my Nexus 7 and have the same situation. While the on-screen keyboard isn't accessible while using a different keyboard, you'd have to disconnect the external keyboard to use the other one
When you're in a situation where it should come up, you should see a little keyboard icon in you notification bar. Pull it down and tap 'Choose input method'. Change this to the keyboard of your choice. Hope this works :-)
