Question:

A pulley or a hoist for a tree house?

I have a rope already attached high up a tree, perhaps 50 feet high or so. I am thinking if I tie an additional 50 feet of rope to the end, I should be then able to, by pulling tension of rope around some kind of pulley or hoist use it to raise a treehouse to the top of the rope? I have an idea that some kind of moveable S shaped wheel gizmo would do this for me but have no idea what it is called. If you know of a device and can maby post a link to an image of it I would very grateful. There is no way I am climbing up in the tree to connect any kind of wheel or pulley to the top of the branch. I want to pull something up from the bottom using the end of the rope, if possible. Thank you

Answer:

We form of had some... I lived at a assets that had a rainforest for a on an identical time as... We did have a Swiss family individuals Robinson variety tree with ropes (cursory of rRgwah) and a few different issues, structures, a tree homestead which you crawed up the interior the tree to get too and a funky hand-crafted bridge for a river that replaced into there.... Being in that ecosystem as a toddler replaced into in simple terms stunning! xx
IF you have a 50' rope tied 50' off the ground and you refuse to climb the tree. 1) How did it get there? 2) How are you going to get to the other end to pull the it back to the ground where you can reach both ends? You ever tried to push a rope?
a chain fall [ hoist] will do that, you pull on ne chain it turns a wheel and pulls up the other chain,
